Doggie Daycare
Keep your dog well exercised and stimulated at our dog daycare

After a hard day at work, it isn’t always easy to match the energy level of your dog when you walk in the door. They are so happy to see you and full of energy. For them, the day is just beginning while for you there are a million other things to do. By taking your dog to Doggie Playland, he or she will have fun playing at our dog daycare all day long. And, at the end of the day, your dog is happy and well exercised. This allows you to enjoy the companionship without disappointing your furry friend.

What makes our Dog Daycare so special?
The top 6 reasons
reason 1

Your dog is left alone for 9-10 hours a day while you’re away at work?

reason 2

Do you find it hard to schedule in the walks per day your dog needs to live a healthy, active life?

reason 3

Do you travel often and are faced with the challenge of finding good care for your dog while you are away?

reason 4

You just moved to Toronto and are looking for a place where your dog can run, play and interact with other dogs?

reason 5

Your lifestyle make it difficult to provide enough exercise throughout the day?

reason 6

Does your puppy have more energy than you at the end of the day, and you’ve been working all day and just want to relax?

A typical day at our doggie daycare consists of indoor and outdoor playtime, socializing, making new friends and nap time.

At the end of the day, your dog goes home with you both happy and fulfilled. Before you enroll your pet with Doggie Playland, we have to get to know your pup to ensure that she/he will integrate smoothly into the dog daycare pack.

This is what we call “The Temperament Test”. We do this on your first visit to Doggie Playland.

Please be prepared to wait for approximately 15 minutes while we assess your dog and ensure there is no aggression or elevated anxiety. The full assessment process takes 2 hours and it is free of charge . If your dog meets our requirements for behavioural and social skills, and enjoys mixing with other dogs, we will be very happy to welcome them into our doggie daycare. If you wish to leave your dog longer than the 2 hours, we can extend you our special Trial Rate of $10 for half day or $20 for a full day. This rate is available on the trial day ONLY.

Since socialization at an early age is very important, we accept pups as young as 8 weeks as long as cleared by a vet. All attending dogs must be spayed or neutered if they are over the age of 12 months and with up-to-date core vaccinations or proof of immunity (Titer tests).

For new clients: it is important for your dog to attend daycare as soon as possible after their successful temperament test in order for them to integrate smoothly into the pack. In the event that circumstances prevent your dog from attending daycare for longer than 8 weeks, a new temperament assessment will be required. In a similar fashion should your regular daycare dog be absent for a period of 4 months or more, a temperament test will be required for your dog to re-enter the pack.

Dogs must pass our temperament evaluation prior to attending daycare. Reservations required, please contact us to book.
